How to create time for yourself
Are you overwhelmed with tasks and activities, and don’t know when to spend time on YOU?
This is about Time, and in particular: when you don’t have any. Not to spend on personal moments at least, such as reading an inspirational book with a cup of tea, journalling, meditating, taking a healing bath, those kind of things.
Do you recognize this? You would like to spend this sacred time to yourself….but you just don’t know how to find the time to do it ….!

When you’re brutally honest with yourself, there is really no time in your life left to spend on yourself, apart from the basics, brushing your teeth and taking a shower, maybe excercising, but the rest is doing, doing, doing. Serving others, like a boss or children, but also yourself, doing fun things of course, keeping your house clean, doing groceries, cooking.
But you can get a mindshift about spending this sacred time. Oooo, how I learned this lesson the hard way….! You see, sacred time doesn’t mean it’s going to be hard work, or that it’s going to have to take LONG to have it’s effect.
Especially if right now, you hardly take any sacred time to yourself, adding even just 2 minutes a day to do something, anything, can have huge effects. And I know, because I’ve done it and experienced what can happen if you make this shift.
2 minutes a day is something we all have, right?
My own personal favorite is to spend 2 extra minutes on the toilet or in the shower. Take a book, put on relaxing music, or do some breathing exercises.
Once you start to create these small windows of time for yourself, and really commit to doing them, you’ll start to notice two things.
1) Even 2 minutes of devoted time can have a huge impact on your connection with yourself. If you are true to your promise to yourself to keep that time, you’ll grow your self respect and self love. It will make you become aware of yourself more – every time you do it.
2) This one, I had a very hard time believing when I was told about it. But it works…. Those 2 minutes every day create more ROOM for yourself, in time and feeling too, and it allows for you to actually grow time for yourself. It works like this: when you have 2 minutes to yourself every day for sacred time, that will become a habit after a while. After that, it won’t so difficult anymore to just add some other time as well. Suddenly, when you give attention to it, another hour a week can be put in or a specific night a month. You see how this gradually evolves? You just add very very small steps and give yourself time to adjust.
This way you actually can grow and create time, please try it out, it’s magical because it really works.
